What can I plant around a statue? 

Plants. Enhance the area leading up to your statue by planting two deciduous shade trees such as red maples (Acer rubrum). Sprinkle in the delicate foliage of coralbells (Heuchera) along the path for a truly dramatic effect. 

How do you secure outdoor statues? 

Tip. Statues that stand next to walls or posts can be secured to the wall or post with eye-bolts or eye-screws and light cable. If you don’t have a post hole digger you can dig a hole slightly larger than the base of the statue and fill it with cement to use as an anchoring base. 

How do you protect outdoor statues? 

Apply a waterproof sealing layer on the surface of a dry and clean statue. Let the ornament dry for at least 24 hours or as directed on the sealed container. Apply another layer of paint if necessary to cover the concrete. Leave the bottom of the statue unprotected to let concrete breathe.13 Feb 2020

Apply another coat of sealant if necessary to fully cover the concrete. Leave the bottom of the statue unsealed to allow the concrete to breathe. 

How do you clean garden statues? 

Clean with mild detergent diluted in warm water to get rid of any ingrained dirt or grease. Rinse away residue with clean water and allow stone to dry out. Careful preparation now will allow the adhesive to bond well with the stone.
